Like a Human AI (hereinafter “we”, “us” or “Like a Human”) places great value on your privacy and the protection of your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use and protect your data when you visit our website www.likeahuman.ai, use our training and workshop services, or otherwise contact us.

As an AI-native training academy, we understand the importance of data protection. We are committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable privacy legislation. We also monitor the EU AI Act and align our use of AI with its provisions as they come into effect.

2. Who we are

Like a Human is an AI-native training academy. We help founders, entrepreneurs and their teams learn to work AI-native through hands-on training programmes and workshops (both public and in-company) and, in the future, an online self-paced academy and consultancy. This privacy policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit our website, book or attend a training, sign up for an event, or otherwise get in touch.

Our website is hosted by Vercel (hosting) and uses the following:

  • Umami: privacy-friendly, cookieless website analytics. No personal data or cookies are used, and no data is shared for advertising.
  • Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager: loaded only after you accept analytics cookies via our cookie banner. These use cookies to measure website usage. Advertising tags (such as the Meta pixel) may also be loaded via Google Tag Manager, only after consent. You can refuse or withdraw consent at any time via the cookie settings.
  • cal.com: used when you book a call or meeting with us (processes the details you enter).
  • Luma: used when you register for one of our events (processes your registration details).

We only place non-essential cookies (such as Google Analytics) after you have given consent. Essential cookies required for the website to function are always placed.

6. AI and automated data processing

6.1 AI tools we use

As an AI-native training academy, we use AI systems throughout our operations, in line with our General Terms and Conditions. The main AI tools and providers we work with include:

  • Anthropic (Claude and Claude Code)
  • OpenAI (ChatGPT and the OpenAI API)
  • Perplexity AI (AI-driven research)
  • Fireflies.ai and Granola AI (meeting transcription and notes)
  • Cursor (AI-assisted code editor)
  • Wispr Flow (voice-to-text transcription)
  • DeepL (translation)

We conclude data processing agreements with these providers and only use them for legitimate business purposes. A full, up-to-date list of our (sub-)processors is available in our General Terms and Conditions.

6.2 How we use AI with your data

We may use AI tools to process communication you send to us (including emails) for purposes such as:

  • Analyzing and summarizing conversation transcripts
  • Drafting responses to questions
  • Generating follow-up communication
  • Extracting and organizing information for our CRM system
  • Conducting stakeholder research with information you have provided

Our specific AI workflows include:

  • Conversation processing: Converting recorded meetings to text and generating summaries
  • Stakeholder research: Analyzing communication to create comprehensive profiles
  • CRM maintenance: Identifying and updating contact information and opportunities
  • Follow-up communication: Preparing appropriate follow-up messages

6.3 Safeguards for AI processing

When using these services:

  • Where available, we use the business or enterprise versions of these tools, which offer enhanced privacy protection and, under their terms, do not use customer data to train AI models
  • We implement internal guidelines to minimize personal data entered into these systems
  • We ensure human review of AI-generated content before it is used
  • We use these tools only for legitimate business purposes
  • We apply appropriate security measures to protect data in transit and at rest

6.4 Your control over AI processing

We believe in transparency regarding our use of AI. If you prefer that we do not process your communication using AI tools, you have the right to object to this specific processing. Please inform us of your preference via academy@likeahuman.ai, and we will comply with your request.

Automated decision-making: We do not perform solely automated decision-making that has legal or otherwise significant consequences for you without human intervention, in accordance with Article 22 of the GDPR.

7. Sharing data with third parties

7.1 Service providers

We share information with external service providers who help us carry out our business operations and provide services, including:

  • Website hosting and analytics providers
  • Email service providers
  • Marketing Funnel Platforms
  • CRM systems
  • Analytics providers
  • AI service providers (OpenAI, Anthropic and others as mentioned in section 6)
  • Automation platforms
  • Meeting recording and transcription services

All service providers process data on our behalf and are bound by appropriate processor agreements.

7.2 Professional advisors

We may share information with professional advisors, such as lawyers, accountants and insurers.

7.3 Business transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Our activities are primarily based in the Netherlands and Spain, but we may transfer your personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA). When we do this, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as:

The AI services we use (including OpenAI and Anthropic) are based in the United States. When we use these services to process your data, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms, including Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure adequate protection.

9. Retention periods

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, including:

  • The duration of our business relationship
  • The period required to provide our services
  • As necessary to comply with legal obligations
  • As necessary to protect our legal interests

Specific retention periods:

  • Communication data from potential customers: usually 2 years from last interaction
  • Customer contract: period plus 7 years for accounting purposes
  • Marketing: until withdrawal of consent or maximum 2 years

We have implemented appropriate security measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These measures include:
